Rate reflects Coast to Coast rate. It is very well maintained, friendly staff, best restaurant in the town on-site at the winery. Minor complaints would be the very spotty, on again, off again WiFi at $2.00 extra per day...not bad if it worked. It appears to have cable hookups, however, the cable company has not run the line. Good off-air reception, though. Depending upon the location of your water and waste water hookups, you will need VERY long lines. On our newer 5th wheel, when we aligned the door with the cement patio, we required 35' of sewer line, and 30' of fresh water hose. The service hookups are very far back. Luckily we carry extensions for water, sewer and electric. We have pets and were placed towards the rear of the park. Actually that is a bonus, as you get unobstructed mountain views and a great pet walk area. The entire park is well removed from any highway noise and very tranquil! Minor annoyances aside, this park would be a 9 to 10 any day of the week!

Price reflects Passport America discount. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is easy access to I-80; noise was not a major issue. They have nice, level pull-through sites (along with back-ins). There are about 60 channels available on their cable TV, which was nice. The staff recommended the Martin Hotel for good local Basque food; it was great. We will definitely stay here again.

I concur with most of the other comments. Positives are: friendly staff, clean grounds and easy access. Negatives: the freeway noise, but with the a/c on through the late evening, that wasn't so bad. Same with the Chevron refinery odor, just run the a/c. The spaces can be tight; it looks as if too many sites were installed. The staff allowed the use of 1/2 of your adjacent site to park a towed/tow vehicle. Probably the best park around if you are passing through.

Very well maintained park, owners are very courteous and friendly. Nice large sites. Will certainly stay again. The only caveat is that it is next to Plumas County Fairgrounds. It is always good to check what activities may be going on during the weekend. This Saturday was dirt track racing. Kind of loud, but the A/C took care of that.

As bad as our experience was, it makes me feel better that someone else feels the same way. This place has a good location, they should just sell it and move on...horrible owners and staff. Prior reviewer must have read my notes!

As noted, water level is quite low, so our "waterfront" site was more of a view. Rigs are packed in like cord-wood. Certainly family oriented, so if you are looking for a quiet, tranquil setting, this may not be the place for you. Staff was friendly enough. Would try someplace else next time we are in the area.

Thought we would give this place another chance. Customer service is still a joke, friends wondered what we were thinking to drag them here. Not Good! Will never be back!

I must have been parked next to the prior reviewer, this place is gross! Drive across the bridge into Bullhead City, AZ...much better variety and value.

We stayed here for a week at the Coast to Coast rate of $10/night + $2.50/night for cable (which worked flawlessly!). We found the staff to be quite friendly and they were always hard at work keeping the place tidy. Yeah, there were a few potholes on the dirt/gravel road, but this is the Oregon coast and it does rain on occasion! Not sure about the prior comments about dust...we had no problem, Mother Nature did a great job. I will take shade trees to "cement pad, blacktop landscape" any day. Would have given a 10 if the Wi-Fi worked at the site. (worked perfect at or near the clubhouse) We had number 57, which was as pristine and green as you could get. They had numerous weekend social events, BBQ breakfasts, ice cream socials, etc. We would come back without hesitation.

OK, out of town family wanted to camp here when they came up from CA. Under protest we stayed. Since it was not the weekend, it was only somewhat less than tolerable, therefore my 2 rating. There are other areas out there, just look around! Dirt and poor customer service will prevent me from EVER coming back again...family included!! Everyone else has stated the obvious.

I totally agree with the last review! Will not return!

Wow, I thank the last reviewer, I could not have said it better! I think we would have been better off at the truck overflow lot, but it looks like that was sold to make room for a Cabelas. After the fact, I heard the Gold Ranch is better. But I'm not sure.

I agree with the prior review. This is a very well run State campground! The rangers were quite friendly. Well maintained.

Well, we stayed here with Coast to Coast, so We guess the $10 plus the $2/day surcharge for electricity was not bad. First of all, we stayed here in March and the only electricity used was to charge the batteries, which in turn ran the furnace all night with the 30 degree temperatures. Kinda wonder what they surcharge when it gets to 110 during the summer? The park is older and the spaces are TIGHT. If you and your neighbors have 1+ slides, good luck. Folks are "supposed" to pull beyond the "red lines" to ensure privacy. Few follow the rules and if you do, you will need a 20'+ sewer hose (which we have) to hook up. That being said, the rest of the park is tolerable, albeit clustered. I believe that Pahrump has a Wal-Mart. If passing through again, I would check on their accommodations prior to paying the fees for this gravel parking lot. Did I mention the constant noise from the dirt bikes/atv's from Crawford Lane (which we fronted)?

Obviously, my husband and I are Escapee members, so we stayed at this "rainbow park". No disrespect, but we were expecting better for the organization's "crown jewel". We will stick to Passport America parks if we are trying to stick to budget in the future.

Well, we had a "free" night since we had gone through the sales presentation and were planning to put down our deposit that weekend. We totally concur with the last reviewer about the noise and pet issue. Our pets are very important to us. For $70K, the place really should have a first class dog run/park. Perhaps other parks (especially those actually close to the lake!) will go the sales route. For now, we will save our $$. We won't be back!

Concur with other reviews about staff, dirt and ac/power issues. Not much more that I could add. Even if we were not "just passing through the area", we wouldn't come back. Too bad, it has a unique location.

We are Escapee members and at the price, our 5 nights were almost tolerable. We were literally crammed into our spot. Being stuffed alongside of the manager and one of the helpers, we could not put out our awnings, nor even park our truck in our spot alongside our 5th wheel (as they allowed friends/relatives that option). Perhaps if we had a spot that afforded more room (and there were many!), we may have rated this place higher. This was our first and last Escapee park experience!! Obviously, we won't be back, nor will we frequent other skp parks.

Stayed with friends in their motorhome; ours was being serviced in Arkadelphia. We concur with the inadequate wifi connection and lack of staff friendliness. Won't be back. Don't understand the recent "10", but on the other hand I have a guess!!!

I wasn't going to post a review until I read the last one. I agree with most of the other folks. My husband and I are dirtbike riders and don't mind the dust, but to sleep in the mess is unbearable. Even at the 5 mph limit, it reminds me of "Pigpen", the character in Peanuts. A tsunami cloud of talc dirt follows you everywhere. Get some gravel! The staff is just plain rude. There are "stray" compound dogs all over the place leaving you presents in the morning, which YOU must pick up or get yelled at...we don't even have a dog! BTW, I don't have three cell phone carriers like the last reviewer, just Cingular/ATT, which had bars, but when you attempt to call, you get "emergency calls only" on the screen. My husband is in the telecom biz, it is because the little local company does not allow access. We won't be back!

We made a mistake in booking here. We had wanted Bullards Bar. If you go to Bandon, go there instead, there is no comparison.

Nice older park. Nice quiet location. Can be a challenge for a larger rig, but still nice.

Not a level site anywhere, not good for moderate to big rigs, roads are a mess. Staff was less than helpful. We won't be back.

Stayed with Coast to Coast. For the $8.00 no complaints. May try again.
